Using this website
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a working commitment, not a claim of independently certified or complete conformance.
- A skip link lets keyboard users go straight to the page content.
- Navigation, forms and questions can be operated with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
- Forms have named fields, and key submission feedback is announced to assistive technology.
- Motion follows your device’s preference unless you choose a different setting above. Your choice is saved in this browser.
- Browser zoom is not disabled, and pages adapt to smaller screens.
What is still being checked?
We are reviewing contrast, keyboard access, form feedback and small-screen layouts. Automated checks cannot establish full WCAG conformance. Screen-reader testing, payment and Connection journeys, and the complete set of signed-in views still need broader manual review.
Stripe checkout and UPWARD Connection are separate services. If any step prevents you from taking part, contact us so we can help with an alternative.
Taking part in Helsinki
The evening offers different ways to engage: conversation, hands-on activities, movement, shared food and quieter company. You do not have to join every activity.
Confirmed venue information about step-free routes, accessible toilets, seating, sound and lighting will be added when arrangements are settled. We will also share food and dietary information once confirmed. Please do not assume that a particular facility or adjustment is already available.
Tell us what would help
You can use the comments field when registering your interest, or contact the organizer privately before attending, to share particular needs for participation. Tell us about the practical arrangement that would help; you do not need to give a diagnosis or medical history.
We discuss individual arrangements with you rather than making automatic promises. If you need a support person to participate, please raise this with us so we can agree the arrangement and plan the room’s capacity.

Report a barrier
Email contact@workupward.com with the page or step that caused trouble, what you were trying to do, and your browser or assistive technology if comfortable sharing it. We will review the issue and help you find another way to complete the task.
